Student Board
The Student Board is responsible for formally guiding the Hillel community. Students work hard to build connections and strengthen relationships with other campus communities. At Brown students challenge one another to build a warm and nurturing community whose content is compelling and diverse. Programming is innovative and creative, reflective of the broadly varied interests and pursuits of Jewish students.
The Executive Board
As the executive board of Brown Hillel, we are thrilled about what is happening this year at Hillel. We and other students are planning many new exciting programs and events, as well as traditional favorites. We are also eager for students to use Hillel's resources to find new and diverse ways to explore their Jewish identities, whether that be through art, spirituality, travel, sports, music, cooking, or a myriad of other possibilities. Hillel has many opportunities to offer, and we welcome the Brown community to take advatage of them this year. We are looking forward to seeing you!
The executive board for 2007-2008 is:
- President: Eytan Kurshan
- Eytan Kurshan '08 is an Applied Mathematics-Economics major from Huntington, NY who has participated in cross-country bike rides in three different countries. He also likes to beat box on the Frisbee to intimidate the other team.
- Executive Vice-President: Jacob Baskin
- Jacob Baskin '08 is a Computer Science major hailing from Toronto, Canada. If he's not at Hillel, he might be off competing as a member of Brown's Quiz Bowl team.
- Vice-President for Community-Wide Programming: Josh Tobias
- Josh Tobias '08 is a History concentrator from North Bellmore, NY. He spent the spring of his junior year living in the Czech Republic and travelling across Europe. He can always be counted on to supply a healthy dose of US Presidential trivia.
- Vice-President for Campus Relations: Danielle Levine
- Danielle Levine '09 is an Applied Mathematics-Biology concentrator who is proud to call Holmdel, NJ her home. She is a NJ, RI, and nationally certified EMT and spends many hours each week volunteering for Brown's Emergency Medical Services (EMS).
